South Carolina Internship Program to award $3,000 to USC Aiken students pursuing high-demand jobs

University of South Carolina Aiken students who obtain internships and co-ops that support high-demand industries in the state are eligible to receive financial assistance through the South Carolina Internship Program.

Students can receive $3,000 if they are completing an internship or co-op opportunity in-person at a South Carolina employer in the Fall of 2023, Spring 2024, or Summer 2024 semester. The opportunities must support manufacturing, aerospace, automotive, energy, health and life sciences, or financial services. Awards are provided on a first-come, first-served basis.

Those interested in applying must secure a signed employer offer letter and submit an online application. Applicants will receive confirmation from USC's Career Center within 72 hours of submitting their materials.

Additional stipulations for the South Carolina Internship Program include:
  1. Applicants may only receive one internship program award during their time as a student in the USC System.
  2. Award recipients will be selected based on eligibility and availability of funds.
  3. Students approved for the program will complete an online end-of-term 360 final evaluation.
